The joint Task
Force meeting enabled the two Task Forces to share
information, examine the work of each Task Force and
look at synergies between the Task Forces. This
included providing feedback on major projects, the
establishment and broadening of working groups in the
areas of Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC)
technology, Oxy-fuel combustion technology and Oil and
Gas; and consideration of barriers to the deployment of
low emission technologies.
The meeting
welcomed Canada to its first CFE and PowerGen Task Force
meeting.
In conjunction with the joint and separate Task Force
meetings, seminars and workshops were held.
